Uganda is home to many primates and Kibale National Park offers amazing chimpanzee trekking and habituation experiences. Kidepo, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls NP are great for game drives in a savannah environment with plenty of lion, buffalo and elephant, as well as a range of antelope species. The country is particularly scenic and has a lot to offer to people with a keen interest in natural history and who enjoy active holidays. Here are some of our tour packages.

Itinerary

Arrive in Nairobi and connect to a flight to Entebbe. Our staff will meet and welcome you at the airport and be transferred to Sienna Beach Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park to arrive in time for lunch. En route stop at the royal drum makers and stand astride the Equator.

After breakfast, have a morning and evening game drive in the park. The park has numerous wildlife such as Cape buffalo, Uganda kob, waterbuck, warthog, lion, leopard, hyena, giant forest hog as well as elephants.Topis can only be discovered in Ishasha and forest primate found in Kyambura gorge in addition to Maramagambo forest. Kasenyi plains are excellent for sighting lions and large herds of Uganda kobs. The Mweya peninsula offers excellent game drives with magnificent views across the water to the Rwenzori Mountains. Mweya is one of the best places to look for leopards, which live in the dense and scrubby thickets.

Have early breakfast then leave for Kyambura Gorge which is an extraordinary natural environment where you can track chimpanzees. Have a packed lunch enjoying the breath taking gorge. After lunch take a cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is about 40m long adjoining Lake Gorge to Lake Edward. It has the perfect view of the parks’ major wildlife ventures. The shores of the lake attract a large concentration of mammals, birds as well as reptiles all year around. The animals can be viewed well by the Nile cruise or probably at the entrance of Lake Edward.

After breakfast you will be transferred back to Entebbe Airport for a flight to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi in the evening and be transferred to Sarova Panafric for dinner and overnight stay.

This morning we depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant. A spectacular game run en-route is planned. After lunch set off for another spectacular game drive. Amboseli has big game including Lion, Cheetah antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, buffalo and giraffe. The afternoon game run is planned to introduce you to intense beauty and drama that fill each day here. Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro – can be seen from all the lodges that we use Amboseli Sopa Lodge or Kimana camp

This morning we rise early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for a game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. A visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Midday finds us at our lodge for lunch and afternoon rest, followed by another game drive. Amboseli is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen. Masai warriors are famous and are proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world.

After an early morning game drive return to your lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, also known as 'Ornithological Paradise', for a full day game viewing drive. The spectacular alkaline Lake is famously known as the feeding ground of both lesser and greater flamingos. This National park, which is fenced all round is a sanctuary for birds, Rothschild giraffes and both black and white-rhinos, Waterbucks, Buffalos, Gazelles, Lions, Baboons and the elusive Leopards sometimes seen sleeping on the horizontal branches of the Fever trees. Lunch will be served at the lodge in the game park.

After early breakfast, depart for Masai Mara to arrive in time for lunch, apart from the big five, the Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and others from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania crossing the Mara River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds, which takes place in late July or August. After lunch have some time for relaxation, or sunbathing and going for a dive in the pool, then have an afternoon game drive in search of leopard, the solitary and ill-tempered Rhino, lions, buffalos, and others plain game. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight

After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive in search for wild animals. You will drive to the famous Mara River in search of hippos and crocodiles; between July and September, there is the Great Migration of the Wildebeest from Serengeti plains to Masai Mara through Mara River. This annual event was named as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. En-route you will also see the Kenya-Tanzania border that marks one side of the Mara Triangle. You will have your lunch in the park and proceed on a game drive probably in search of animals not seen so far.

Have an early morning game drive and then return to the camp for breakfast. This is the best time to have game drives since the animals both nocturnal and diurnal are active before the sun sends them off under the shades. After breakfast proceed to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon.
