Day 1: Dar es Salaam
On arrival at Dar es Salaam International airport, our staff will welcome and transfer you to Southern Sun for overnight stay.

Day 2: Dar es Salaam - Selous

After breakfast, depart to the Selous Game Reserve, lunch en route . Take a walking safari which offers a totally different experience to game drives, to approach animals on foot is a completely different experience than doing it in a vehicle. It is also a chance to get close and personal with some of the finer details of the African bush, things like birds, trees and plants. You can also extend your walking safari into a multi day walking safari and walk from point to point, camping along the way – the ultimate in a Safari adventure. Return to your Camp for overnight stay.

Day 3; Selous Game Reserve

Early morning pre-breakfast walking safari returning to camp for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, have boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River, this is a great way to see hippo and crocodile, also common to see elephant, waterbuck and buffalo along the river banks. The reserve is one of the largest protected wilderness reserves on the continent. The reserve is three times larger than Serengeti.

Day 4: Selous Game Reserve-Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, cross the photographic area of Selous and drive through the Uluguru Mountains before reaching Mikumi National Park. The is at the northern border of Africa's biggest game reserve the Selous . It is transected by the surfaced road between Dar es Salaam and Iringa. It stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean. Wildlife in the park includes; Lions, zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffalo herds,hippos and more than 400 bird species.

Day 5 Mikumi National Park

After breakfast depart for Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch.Have a morning game drive in search for elephants, giraffes buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions, leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal.
More than 400 species of birds have been recorded here including Eurasian migrants such as red billed ox pecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller, which stays between October and April. There are more interesting bird species in the Miombo woodland, for example, Shelley's double collared sunbird, pale billed hornbill and violet-crested Turaco as well as violet-backed starling. The surrounding mountain and hills brings compelling natural beauty with addition to superb light, make it a wonderful venue for wildlife photographers. It is common to see elephants, lions and sometimes giraffes on/along the Tanzania-Zambia highway, especially in the evening or night. Nowadays leopards are commonly seen.

Day 6 Mikumi – Udzungwa Mountains National Park

Have an early morning game drive in Mikumi then return to the camp for breakfast. The vegetation to be seen in the park includes woodland, swamp and grassland with two water holes, Mkata and Chamgore. Apart from the saddle-bill stork, hammerkop and malachite kingfisher, you will also find monitor lizard and a deadly python inhabiting the pools.

After Breakfast we depart by road to Udzungwa Mountains National Park to arrive in time for lunch, Udzungwa main physical features include rolling hills, dissected plateau, waterfalls and an undulating upland blanketed by a thick rain forest which colors the area with an ethereal beauty. Variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, elephants, leopards and full of reptiles such as chameleon and snakes. Other animals include rare primates red colobus, Sanje crested mangabey monkeys, black and yellow baboon, which live in slopes of mountain all sharing the same habitation. Udzungwa National Park is now one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa.

Day 7 Udzungwa Mountains National Park - Ruaha National Park

After breakfast, have a morning game drive in the park. You will have a trekking that leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. From here you will have a view of Kilombero Valley as your tour driver takes you to Ruaha National park where you will have a tour of Iringa town. There are many different type of birds and trees that can be seen near the lodge.

Day 8: Ruaha National Park

After breakfast,depart for a morning game drive in this park that sprawls within and along the Great Rift Valley, covering a unique transition zone where the Eastern and Southern species of both fauna and flora meet against a dramatic topographical backdrop. This is also one of the few Tanzanian parks where you can see rarer antelope, such as the Sable, the Roan and both Lesser & Greater Kudu . The proliferation of plains game in the park also ensures that the larger predators - leopard and large prides of lion are unusually active. There are also more than 500 bird species.

Day 9 Ruaha-  Morogoro  (Mbuyuni )

After breakfast,have a morning game drive then depart for Mbuyuni Farm in Morogoro to arrive in time for lunch, Mbuyuni Farm is a working organic farm. After lunch, have an excursion to Uluguru Mountains.

Day 10:  Ruaha-  Morogoro  - Dar es Salaam 

Ater breakfast,have a guided walk at Mbuyuni farm then return to the cottages for lunch. After lunch depart for Dar es Salaam for your return flight.
