Tsavo East is famous for its large number of elephants and spectacular herds of buffalos which roam across this open savannah. The Taita Hills are known for their moist forests with a unique fauna and flora.

DAY 1.Mombasa-Tsavo East National park

Arrive in Mombasa then depart for Tsavo East National Park, through Bachuma Gate (170 kms approximately 3 hours). The Park is home to elephants, lions, buffalos, zebras, cheetahs and giraffes and other animals, visit Aruba Dam, one of the best places to see elephants and lions.

DAY 2; Tsavo East National Park-Taita Hills

Early morning game drive, and return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast depart from Ashnil Aruba and drive towards Taita Hills Game Sanctuary (120 kms approximately 2 hours 30 minutes) to arrive at Taita Hills Lodge at time for lunch. After lunch proceed to Saltlick Lodge for an afternoon game drive.

DAY 3:Taita Hills-Mombasa

Early morning game drive, breakfast, then return to your north coast hotel (220 kms approximately 5 hours 30 minutes), or south coast hotel (300 kms, approximately 5 hours 30 minutes) which includes a crossing on the Likoni Ferry and can be subject to delays.

Accomodation at North or South Coast Hotel.
