DAY 1:NAIROBI- MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive around the east side of Mt. Kenya through green lands en route to Meru National park. The park has abundant wildlife like gravy zebra,elephants,eland,bush pig,common waterbuck,cheetah,leopard,reticulated giraffe,hippo,reedbuck,python,puff adder,cobra,buffalo gerenuk and over 300 bird species.

DAY 2: MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast proceed for a gamedrive in the park. The park is also refferd to as “The complete wilderness” .The Park has 13 rivers and plentiful mountain fed streams.it has diverse scenery from woodlands to wide-open plains. Meru was the home of Elsa the lioness made famous by Joy and George Adamson. It’s an arid park, dotted with gigantic baobab trees, crystal clear palm-fringed springs and streams fed by water from Mt. Kenya and nyambeni mountains. Herds of eland, Beisa oryx, gerenuk, elephant, Grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, grant gazelle, the elusive lesser kudu and ofcourse the predators,lion ,leopard,cheetah and hyena roam the park. Meru, due to its location has had very few visitors and you can enjoy pristine wilderness practically on your own.

Elsa kopje is on Mughwnago Hill with breath taking 360 degree views over the swamp sand plains of the park in front, and the foothills of Mt.Kenya behind. At an altitude of 1,500ft its warm, but with minimum humidity and very comfortable. Each of the eight rooms is a cottage made of natural materials, blending into the hillside. The rooms are open to a verandah, so you can look out onto the view from your bed. The camp offers unforgettable bush food and even has a swimming pool for cooling off on hot days. After lunch relax at the lodge in the afternoon and have an optional game drive in the evening at the park.

DAY 3:MERU NATIONAL PARK- OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

After breakfast drive west around Mt. Kenya passing through Nanyuki to Ol Pejeta conservancy arriving in time for lunch. Built within a private ranch, the conservancy supports a wide variety of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes,rhino,chimpanzees,zebra and many bird species,you can have a night game drive at an extra cost..

DAY 4: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY- LAKE NAKURU

After breakfast drive through the Sanctuary into the Great Rift Valley, to arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru. Lake Nakuru is known as an ornithological paradise by birdwatchers because the lake is world famous as the location of the greatest bird spectacle on earth which boasts anywhere between one and two million lesser and greater pink flamingos that feed on the abundant algae thriving in the lakes warm waters. The park has also been established for the protection of endangered species such as the rhino and is also home to Columbus monkeys, Leopards, Giraffes, and a variety of plain antelope.After lunch have an afternoon game drive.

DAY 5 LAKE NAKURU-MASAI MARA

After early breakfast,depart for Masai Mara to arrive in time for lunch,apart from the big five, the Masai Mara is most famous for the spectacular annual migration of over a million wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and others from the Serengeti in northern Tanzania crossing the Mara River into Kenya in search of fresh feeding grounds, which takes place in late July or August. After lunch have some time for relaxation, or sunbathing and going for a dive in the pool, then have an afternoon game drive in search of the shy and elusive leopard, the solitary and ill-tempered Rhino, lions, buffalos, and many others.

DAY 6: MASAI MARA RESERVE
After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive in search for wild animals. You will drive to the famous Mara River in search of hippos and crocodiles; between July and September, there is the Great Migration of the Wildebeest from Serengeti plains to Masai Mara through Mara River. This annual event was named as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. En-route you will also see the Kenya-Tanzania border that marks one side of the Mara Triangle. You will have your lunch in the park and proceed on a game drive probably in search of animals not seen so far.

DAY 7: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Have an early morning game drive and then return to the camp for breakfast. This is the best time to have game drives since the animals both nocturnal and diurnal are active before the sun sends them off under the shades. After breakfast proceed to Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon.
